"Impero" Murano Glass Vase
Impero is a tribute to our tradition, a collection of beautiful vases that picks bare hands from our Muranese glassblowing history. The highlights of these vases are the transparencies that meet the "sommerso": in this decorative technique, the glass master uses either a blown or solid piece of glass to create several overlapping layers in different colours for a highly suggestive chromatic effect. The glass, which is attached to a cane, is dipped into crucibles containing glass in different colours. In order to enhance the decorative effect between the different layers of glass, we also included round bubbles of air which create a beautiful even decorative pattern.
