Collection of vases handmade by Roberto Beltrami and his team in Murano.

These majestic vases are crafted from a coloured glass base that forms its inside, then melted with scorching glass clear spikes all around.
The "Rostrato" technique is applied, layer by layer, like an incandescent "wrap" all along the external diameter of the vase. Once this glass ring has been added, it is then pulled, "spike" by "spike", with the tweezer.

A very precise, quick and intense process, which is very difficult due to the huge and scorching mass of glass which has to be handled. Everything has to be kept at a stable temperature in order not to occur into the risk of thermal shock, which can break the entire work.
