Oculus Murano Glass Dining Plate: Organic Design for an Extraordinary Table
Some tableware is designed to disappear beneath the food. Oculus is designed to be part of the presentation.
The Oculus Murano Glass Dining Plate combines the functional character of a plate with the sculptural beauty of handmade Venetian glass.
Its flowing, organic shape is created through the interaction of heat and centrifugal force, giving the piece an irregular silhouette that feels more like a contemporary artwork than conventional tableware.
Every Plate Has Its Own Shape
Oculus is distinguished by the way its form is created.
During production, centrifugal force helps shape the heated glass, producing curves and edges that vary naturally from one piece to another.
Rather than aiming for mechanical uniformity, the design embraces these differences.
Every plate retains the same recognizable Oculus identity while displaying its own subtle variations in shape.
This individuality makes the collection especially appealing for those who appreciate handmade objects and expressive contemporary design.
Nine Colours to Personalize Your Table
Oculus is available in a broad palette of polished finishes.
Choose Aquamarine, Blue, Green or Grey for a refined single-colour appearance, or explore the Blue/Amethyst and Amber/Green combinations for a more expressive contrast.
Orange introduces a vivid decorative accent, while Opaque White and Black offer striking alternatives for monochromatic table settings.
The polished surface catches the light, emphasizing the plate's curves and allowing the different colours to interact with surrounding materials.
A Plate for Serving and Display
Measuring approximately 20–25 cm, Oculus offers a versatile format for presenting food or creating a decorative arrangement.
Use it as a distinctive serving plate for special occasions, or display it on a console, sideboard or shelf where its sculptural silhouette can be appreciated.
Its irregular form makes even a simple arrangement feel more considered.
For a coordinated interior, pair the plate with the larger Oculus Centerpiece, which shares the same organic design language.
Make the Presentation Part of the Experience
Oculus is particularly appealing for contemporary dining spaces where tableware is chosen with the same care as furniture and lighting.
Its flowing shape introduces a contrast to conventional round plates, while the polished glass brings colour and reflections to the table.
Choose the Oculus Dining Plate when you want your table setting to feel genuinely distinctive. Whether used to present something special or displayed as an artwork, its individual shape and expressive colour make it a piece worth bringing out, and showing off.
