Pupi Murano Glass Sculptures: Playful Characters with Extraordinary Personality
Who said fine glass art has to be serious?
The Pupi Collection brings humour, imagination and an unmistakable pop-art spirit into the world of Murano glass.
Entirely mouth-blown and handcrafted in our Murano furnace, these expressive animal sculptures combine traditional glassmaking with contemporary character design.
Each Pupo has its own personality, costume and story. And the most enjoyable part is that you can help create the character yourself.
A World of Unexpected Characters
The Pupi Collection is filled with animals that have taken on distinctly human personalities.
Meet the Rabbit Farmer, Turtle Pirate, Kitty Ballerina, Gangsta Rhino, King Lion and many other imaginative characters.
Some are playful, others proudly eccentric, and each combines a recognizable animal form with a distinctive outfit or accessory.
The result is a collection that feels closer to contemporary pop art than conventional decorative glass sculpture.
Every character brings its own sense of humour, making Pupi particularly appealing to people who enjoy art that surprises and entertains.
Handmade in Murano, Full of Character
Each Pupo is individually mouth-blown and shaped by our glassmakers in Murano.
Creating these figurative sculptures requires careful attention to the relationship between the animal's form, its expression and the decorative details that give it personality.
The process brings traditional craftsmanship into a completely different visual language.
Instead of relying on classical ornamentation, Pupi uses glass to explore humour, character and imagination.
Create Your Own Pupo
One of the most distinctive features of the collection is the possibility of customization.
You can choose an animal, select a costume and introduce accessories that reflect a particular personality or idea.
Imagine a doctor, superhero, cowboy, businessman, ninja or another character inspired by someone you know.
The possibilities extend beyond the existing collection, making Pupi a particularly interesting option for personalized gifts and commissioned artworks.
A Gift That's Anything but Ordinary
Standing approximately 30–35 cm high, Pupi sculptures have enough presence to become a focal point on a shelf, console or desk.
They make memorable gifts for birthdays, special occasions or people who appreciate objects with a playful personality.
A customized Pupo can also become a personal reference to someone's profession, interests or sense of humour.
Unlike a conventional decorative gift, it can tell a story that is immediately recognizable to the person receiving it.
Bring a Little Humour into Your Art Collection
Pupi combines the individuality of handmade Murano glass with the freedom of contemporary character design.
Each sculpture celebrates imagination, making the collection appealing to collectors and anyone who enjoys surrounding themselves with original objects.
