A Design Revealed Through Two Techniques
The creation of Venice Secret begins in the furnace.
The glass is worked while molten, allowing the glassmakers to establish its fundamental shape and proportions.
After cooling, the piece moves to the coldshop, where its surface is carved using a diamond wheel.
This additional process introduces distinctive decorative details into the glass, transforming the original form into something more complex.
The carved surface creates variations in texture and reflection, encouraging the eye to explore the relationship between the sculptural shape and its finishing details.
Because every piece is individually made, subtle differences contribute to the character of each vase or centerpiece.
The Warmth of Matte Orange
Venice Secret is presented in a matte fading orange finish.
The gradual transition in colour creates a sense of movement across the surface, while the matte treatment gives the glass a softer, more contemporary appearance.
Unlike a uniformly coloured vase, the gradient introduces variation and visual depth.
