Vanità Murano Glass Vase: Sculptural Form Meets Precision Carving
The beauty of glass can be revealed in many ways.
Sometimes it's the colour. Sometimes it's the shape. And sometimes it's the detail that appears when a smooth surface is carefully carved.
The Vanità Collection explores this relationship through rounded Murano glass forms transformed by precise diamond-wheel engraving.
Handcrafted by Roberto Beltrami and his team, Vanità brings together the expressive nature of molten glass and the controlled artistry of cold-working.
From the Furnace to the Coldshop
The creation of Vanità begins while the glass is molten.
Our glassmakers shape the material into a rounded form, establishing the proportions that define the design.
After cooling, the piece moves to the coldshop, where a diamond wheel is used to carve decorative details into the surface.
This second stage introduces texture and visual complexity, creating a contrast with the original smooth glass.
The result is a piece that invites closer attention, revealing the relationship between its sculptural form and carved decoration.
Two Distinctive Interpretations
Vanità is available in two formats.
The vase stands approximately 35 cm high, offering an elegant decorative accent for consoles, sideboards and carefully arranged interiors.
The egg-shaped version measures approximately 32 cm high and emphasizes the collection's sculptural character.
Both formats can be appreciated as standalone decorative objects, allowing the carved glasswork to become the main focus.
A Contemporary Accent with Individual Character
Vanità is particularly appealing in interiors where decorative objects are selected for their material qualities.
Its rounded form can soften spaces dominated by straight lines, while the carved decoration introduces texture and reflected light.
Position it against a restrained background to emphasize its silhouette, or incorporate it into a collection of contemporary glass artworks.
