Efesto: Matte Murano Glass with Softly Fading Colour
Efesto explores a quieter side of Murano glass.
Designed by Roberto Beltrami, the collection replaces brilliant polished reflections with delicate colours and a fading sandblasted finish. The treatment gives the surface a softer visual character, allowing the clean silhouette and subtle tonal changes to become the focus.
The result is contemporary Murano glass that can sit comfortably within an interior rather than demanding that everything around it compete for attention.
Vase or Bowl
Efesto is available in two forms.
The vase stands approximately 30–32 cm high with a 13 cm diameter, creating a slim vertical accent suited to flowers or standalone display. The compact bowl measures approximately 5 cm high and 11 cm in diameter, translating the same matte aesthetic into a smaller decorative object.
Both forms are available in Matte Amethyst, Matte Fumè and Matte Clear.
Each colour interacts differently with the sandblasted surface. Amethyst introduces a muted colour accent, fumè offers a darker neutral tone, while clear glass places greater emphasis on form and the softly diffused finish.
Easy to Integrate, Difficult to Overlook
Efesto's restrained design makes it particularly adaptable to contemporary interiors. It can sit alongside stone, wood, metal and neutral materials without feeling overly decorative, yet the handmade glass and fading surface prevent it from becoming anonymous.
Each piece is carefully crafted in Wave's Murano hot shop by Roberto Beltrami and his team, connecting its minimalist appearance with the human process behind its creation.
